Refund & Return Policy – Montes Art Studio
Thank you for choosing Montes Art Studio. Each portrait we create is custom-made based on your photo and specifications. Please review our policy carefully before placing your order.
Refunds (Custom Work Policy)
Due to the custom nature of our portrait paintings, all sales are final once production begins.
We do not offer refunds on completed or in-progress portraits.
If you decide to cancel before production starts, you may be eligible for a refund.
Production begins only after full payment is received (including layaway orders once fully paid).
Once your portrait enters the painting process, no cancellations or refunds will be accepted.
Approved refunds (if applicable) will be issued back to your original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank.
Design / Photo Approval
Photos are submitted after full payment is completed.
We review and approve photos before starting the painting.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the photo quality and selection is correct.
Once the painting process begins, changes cannot be made.
Returns
We do not accept returns.
Every portrait is custom-made specifically for each customer, so all orders are considered final sale.
Damages, Issues, or Missing Items
Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
If your order arrives:

Incorrect
Missing
You must contact us within 15 days of delivery.
We will require:
Photos of the packaging
Photos of the item(s)
We will review and replace the item if approved.
After 15 days, we are unable to offer replacements.
Shipping Policy
All orders are shipped via USPS with Signature Confirmation Required.
Packages will not be left unattended—someone must be available to sign.
If a package is lost in transit, we will remake your portrait at no additional cost.
Shipping Delays
Shipping times are estimated and not guaranteed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by:
Carriers (USPS)
Weather
External circumstances beyond our control
Shipping fees may be reviewed case-by-case, but no refunds will be issued for the portrait itself due to shipping delays.
Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges.
